1. About these Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website www.hey-mums.com (the "Site") and the services, content, newsletter, and community offered by Hey Mums ("Hey Mums", "we", "us", "our"). Hey Mums is operated by HEY MOMS, UEN 53524978X, a business based in Singapore.

By accessing or using the Site, signing up for our newsletter, joining our community, or purchasing tickets to our events, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

Purchases of event tickets are also governed by our Event Ticketing & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

The Site and our services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase tickets or submit personal data through the Site. By making a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

3. Using the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • use the Site in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation;

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which it is hosted, or any connected system;

  • introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful material;

  • scrape, copy, or republish content from the Site for commercial purposes without our written permission; or

  • impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Site at any time without notice, including for maintenance or security reasons.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including the Hey Mums name and logo, text, graphics, images, event descriptions, and newsletter content — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including reproduction, modification, distribution, or republication, requires our prior written consent.

5. Newsletter

By signing up for the Mum's Having a Moment newsletter, you consent to receiving regular emails from us containing Hey Mums news, community highlights, and related content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. Our use of your email address is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Community spaces (WhatsApp and social media)

We host community spaces, including a WhatsApp group and an Instagram presence. These spaces exist to support honest, kind conversation between mums. When participating, you agree to:

  • treat other members with respect and kindness;

  • not post content that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable;

  • not share other members' personal information, messages, or photos outside the community without their consent;

  • not use the community for unsolicited advertising, promotion, or spam without our prior consent; and

  • comply with the terms of service of the relevant platform (WhatsApp or Instagram).

We may remove content or members from our community spaces at our discretion if we consider these expectations to have been breached. Content shared by community members reflects their own views, not ours, and we are not responsible for it.

7. Not professional advice

Content shared on the Site, in our newsletter, at our events, and in our community — including discussions about pregnancy, parenting, feeding, sleep, health, and wellbeing — is for general information and community support only. It is not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any questions about your health or your child's health. You rely on information shared in our community at your own risk.

8. Event tickets

Tickets to Hey Mums events are sold through the Site. All ticket purchases are subject to our Event Ticketing & Refund Policy, which covers payment, refunds, transfers, cancellations, attendance with children, venue rules, photography at events, and conduct at events. Please read it before purchasing.

9. Third-party websites and venues

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services (such as event venues, Google Maps, WhatsApp, and Instagram). These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of third-party websites. Our events are often held at third-party venues, and your use of those venues is subject to the venue's own rules and conditions.

10. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take care to keep information on the Site accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses, or that information on it (including event details, which may change) is complete or accurate at all times. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions, and representations not expressly set out in these Terms.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law (including under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003).

Subject to the above, to the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or our services; and

  • our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Site, or any event will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or SGD 100 if you have not paid us anything).

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or our community spaces.

13. Privacy

Our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which complies with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Changes will not apply retrospectively to tickets already purchased. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. General

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Event Ticketing & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Site. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights as a consumer under Singapore law.
