Event Ticketing & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all tickets purchased for Hey Mums events through www.hey-mums.com (the "Site"). It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to this policy.
1. Booking and payment
Tickets are sold through the Site and paid for at checkout in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Payments are processed securely by our e-commerce platform (Squarespace) and its payment processors (e.g. Stripe); we do not see or store your full card details. Your booking is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email — this confirmation is your ticket, and you may be asked to show it (or give your name) at the door.
Prices are as displayed at checkout. We are not currently GST-registered, so no GST is charged.
2. Order limits and admission
Some events have purchase limits (for example, a limit of 2 tickets per order) and limited capacity, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Unless the event listing says otherwise, each ticket admits one adult, and for playdate-style and coffee morning events, one adult and one child. If you plan to bring more than one child (siblings, twins — we see you!), please email us at elena@hey-mums.com before the event so we can plan accordingly. We may not be able to accommodate additional attendees who have not been arranged in advance.
3. Cancellations and refunds — if you can't make it
We're a small community business and our events have limited spots, so our refund approach is:
More than 7 days before the event: contact us and we will offer you a full refund or a credit towards a future event — your choice.
7 days or fewer before the event: tickets are non-refundable, but you may transfer your ticket to another mum (see Section 4).
No-shows: tickets are non-refundable and non-creditable.
If you or your little one is unwell, please don't come along. The health of our mums and bubs comes first. We will help you transfer your ticket to another mum in this case.
Approved refunds are made to your original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
4. Transferring your ticket
You may transfer your ticket to another person at no charge. Please email us at elena@hey-mums.com before the event with the name of the person attending in your place, so we can welcome them properly and keep the event suitable for everyone. Tickets may not be resold for profit.
5. If we change or cancel an event
Occasionally we may need to change an event's date, time, venue, or format, or cancel it altogether (for example, due to low bookings, venue issues, weather, or circumstances beyond our control). If that happens, we will notify you by email as soon as possible and you may choose between:
a full refund; or
a transfer to the rescheduled event or a credit towards a future event.
If an event is cancelled by us, you will always be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price. We are not responsible for any other costs you may have incurred in connection with attending an event (such as transport or childcare), to the extent permitted by law.
6. Attending with children
Our events are designed for mums, and many welcome babies and toddlers. When attending with a child:
you (or another accompanying adult) must supervise your child at all times — our hosts and venues do not provide childcare;
you are responsible for your child's safety, behaviour, and belongings;
please follow any age guidance in the event listing (for example, "under 12 months" or "12+ months"), which helps us keep events safe and enjoyable for everyone; and
please follow venue-specific requirements noted in the event listing (for example, bringing socks for your child at play spaces).
7. Venues and accessibility
Our events are held at third-party venues, and attendance is subject to each venue's own rules. Please check the event listing for important venue details, including accessibility information (for example, some venues are accessible by stairs only and have limited pram parking). If you have accessibility needs or questions about a venue, email us before booking and we will do our best to help.
8. Photography and filming at events
We sometimes take photos and short videos at events to share on our website, newsletter, and social media. We will let attendees know when this is happening, and you can opt out at any time — just tell the host or email elena@hey-mums.com, and we will make sure you and your child are not featured. If an image of you or your child has been published and you would like it removed, contact us and we will take it down as soon as reasonably practicable. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
Please be considerate when taking your own photos at events: do not photograph other mums or their children without their permission.
9. Conduct and right of admission
We want every Hey Mums event to feel safe, warm, and welcoming. We reserve the right to refuse admission to, or ask someone to leave, an event if their behaviour is abusive, unsafe, or significantly disruptive to other attendees, or if they breach venue rules. No refund will be given in these circumstances.
10. Health and safety
By attending an event, you agree to take reasonable care for your own safety and that of any child in your care, and to follow reasonable instructions from Hey Mums hosts and venue staff. Please do not attend if you or your child has a contagious illness — see Section 3.
11. Liability
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law. Subject to that, our liability in connection with any event is limited as set out in our Terms & Conditions, and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party venues or for loss or damage to personal belongings at events.
12. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your rights as a consumer under Singapore law, including under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003.
